Jus had the scanner re-hooked up for my laptop so decided to scan 2 articles found in recent mags or newspaper :p
Scanned this form the Feb issue of Lime on the Cosafe. Dear appeared in the pic abv (ppl shld noe hu :p). However,mani mistakes were made in the article. 1 such mistake would b the "unintentional" misleading of wad Cosplay may b perceived as. Ppl from the forum i frequent hv been condemning this article for it's lack of info n knowledge.To them,it is like this article was jus rushed out wifout the reporter doing any bg research at all. (the most serious mistake i think would b spelling witchcat's name as "Perlyn" instead of "Ferlyn"
Nx is an article found in the Sunday Life abt a guy known to some locals as "Baka Tan". Why u may ask...well,it started a couple yrs ago when a term commonly used in countries ard the world was trademarked by this fellow. Rumours hv said tt this is the divine word of a female abv him. They claim tt it is in the interest of the hobby n for it to not b misused. However,hv u seen any1 else in other countries trademarking terms such as "baseball" or "basketball". Let's lk at an example if sum1 did on the term "basketball".
Guy:dude,let's go play some basketball.
Guy2:dude,we can't call it basketball here no more,someone trademarked the thing.
Guy:oh ok...let's go throw this orange colour striped ball ard and aim to throw it into a hoop thingy.That shld b ok rite???
Guy2:shld b...damn tt's hard to remember.
Get the point?not tt i m against but mani ppl dun realli c the pt of it n hv expressed their "unfriendly" views in forums b4.But still,there r ppl hu r unaware of this situation n may end up being sued by this Tan fellow for misusing the term.O well,it's their money. Ironically,"dreamer" was a term some ppl called him for thinking he could get away wif wad he did.
Sometimes,there r questions u must ask in life or u may jus regret it. No matter if u alreadi noe wad the ans is,it is still best to ask then to regret nv asking at all.the ans may stun u sumtimes n things could turn out for the better. Jus remember,it is better to hv asked then to hv lived ur live thinking if a difference could hv been made.
